You have agency...

Decisions. Simple decisions shift fortunes in surprising ways. Luis Rubiales chose to kiss Jenni Hermoso. Ed Sheeran chose to keep practicing his guitar. A scout at Asylum Records chose to sign him. Stephen Bartlett chose to start a podcast. Captain Tom chose to walk around his garden, his daughter decided to build a spa. While many things happen beyond our control (like the cancelled flights that left many people stranded on holiday this week) most of the day we are making choices that shift our fortunes.

This ability to make decisions is called "agency" and it is one of the greatest gifts given by God to humans. You have agency. God has given you huge ability to make decisions that will shift your fortunes and the fortunes of others. Right now you could put down this email and choose to do something you have never done before. Or to do again something you have done many many times. Or to do nothing. Each of these choices will impact both you and the people around you. You have agency.

One of key questions God asks humans is this; "What will you use your agency for?"
