"I sensed a nudge"

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

”When the first wave of COVID-19 hit and we went into lockdown, my two housemates moved out. My landlady was there with her mum who was visiting at that time. Fear pushed me to leave the house and to go where I have family, but I sensed a nudge from the Lord to ‘stay still’ and to love my landlady and her mum. What followed was an invitation from the Lord to draw closer to Him and to sit at His feet. Any feelings of distress or anything that the Lord would bring to the surface were to be handed over to Him. In this process, God blessed my relationship with my landlady and her mum.

Recently, I understood I had to move house. His timing is not my timing. Speaking to my landlady was a big step, which I asked a few friends to pray for. When we spoke, she said she was not religious but that being together over the first lockdown made her think about Christianity and church. Her words were kind, and she mentioned to let her know if I ever needed somewhere to stay, even temporarily. It also looks like we might go for drinks or food in the future. This feels like a reward, even when we don’t yet see the bigger picture of what God is doing, it’s an opportunity to trust Him. He's got us.”
